I just got home from seeing Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and I had to hit record while the reaction was still fresh.
This movie gave me the kind of Spider-Man story I was hoping for: Peter swinging through New York, fighting street-level threats, dealing with a major evolution in his powers, and trying to figure out who he is after losing the people closest to him.
In this immediate spoiler-filled reaction, I talk about the Sadie Sink reveal, Jean Grey’s role in the MCU, Damage Control, the Hand, Punisher, Hulk, MJ, Ned, Peter’s mutation, and what this movie may be setting up for the future.
This is not the final breakdown. I’m still processing a lot of what happened, and I’ll be returning next week with a deeper look after the movie has had time to settle.

What if Doctor Doom isn't actually the main villain?
